The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Custom Service Abdullahi Dikko Inde remains one of the most decorated and awarded individuals in the Nigerian Sphere.

This is resultant from an exceptional devotion to duty and an untested public and private strive for positive change in the society.

These awards include the highest National Honours of the Member of the Federal Republic.

Other prominent Award also include the African Choice International News Magazine Award for Meritorious Service (2008), African Gold International Communications Award for Great Patriotic Achievers, The Beema Communications Limited Award for Meritorious Service and Exemplary Leadership (MSAEL), The South –South International Media Organization Meritorious for Heroic Service (2009) and The Badagry New Generation Movement against smuggling  and Abdullahi Dikko Inde ware among prominent Nigerians honoured  at the Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State The Comptroller General of  Customs was conferred with the award of Doctor of Administration according to the chancellor the awrd was in recognition of his contribution to peace,unity and development of the coountry

There is no greater confirmation of an individuals dynamism and achievement than the recognition from far flung organizations and near ones and even from the general public, who instantly get the benefit of such endeavour.

On April 23rd 2013, another landmark event in the life of this current customs administration under the watch of Abdullahi Dikko Inde was the Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement (CMAA) signed in the United State Capital, Washinton D.C between the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency (CPB) and the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) led by the Comptroller General Abdullahi Dikko Inde.

This onerous event, facilitated in a two year period has been put in place to provide teachical assistance to the NCS in ensuring accurate assessment of Customs fraud, money laundering and very importantly checking International Terrorism.

The Comptroller General of the NCS in his submission at the signing ceremony agrees readily that the event of the most strategic importance to Nigeria and represents a structural approach to consolidating on the existing partnership with the United States.

The Head of Delegation for the United States, Wink Owski, stated during the ceremony that the memorandum of understanding would strengthen the resilience of the United States against threats by expanding cooperation and information  sharing.

This agreement marks a significant milestones in the annals of the Nigerian Customs Service.
